ISLAMABAD – Pakistan Army, as an organization, remains the highestcontributor of donations made for the Daimer Bhasha and Mohmand Dams Fundso far. They’ve contributed Rs. 582 million, according to data updated byState Bank of Pakistan (SBP).
The Strategic Planning Directorate was the second highest contribution withthe donation of Rs. 201 million to dams’ fund by end of September 13, 2018.
HBL under its HBL Islamic Charity donated an amount of Rs. 100 million. Itwas followed by Bahria Town and Qarshi Industries which submitted an amountof Rs. 67 million and Rs. 50 million respectively.
The top five contributors donated over Rs. 1 billion for the dams’ fund,which is nearly one-third of the total donation received through bankingchannels by end of September 13. The top ten donor organizationscontributed an amount of Rs.1.156 billion in the period under review.

Pervaiz Bhatti is one of the most generous contributors to the dam fund sofar with Rs. 50 million donated. Sardar Tanveer Ilyas Khan, President ofthe Centaurus Group, donated an amount of Rs. 20 million. He was followedby Abdul Hanan Khan, Zeeshan Ahmed and Saqib Razzaq with an amount of Rs.19 million, Rs. 15 million and Rs. 10 million respectively.
These individuals contributed an overall amount of Rs. 114.88 million. Theoverall donation made by top ten contributors stand at Rs. 143.65 millionby the end of September 13, under the title of Top 10 Donors To PM & CJPFund for Water Reservoir.
It is pertinent to mention here that the central bank has renamed it withPrime Minister and Chief Justice of Pakistan Fund For Diamer Bhasha andMohmand Dam a week ago.
