ISLAMABAD – Disgruntled Manzoor Pashteen, self claimed head of PashtoonTahafuz Movement (PTM) was reportedly stopped from boarding a plane toKarachi ahead of PTM gathering on 13th May. Manzoor was supposed to addressthe gathering, whose agenda revolves around the extra-judicial killings.
The news was shared by Mr Jibran Nasir on Twitter. According to Jibran,“First airline claimed Manzoor’s name is not on the passenger list despitehim having a ticket. Did not allow him to board. Then an Intelligenceagency personnel standing at airport openly signaled staff at all ticketcounters not to issue any new ticket to Manzoor Pashteen.”
He then shared a video of Manzoor leaving Islamabad Airport.
Jibran also blamed a protocol officer at the airport for ensuring thatManzoor doesn’t fly out of Islamabad.
PTM gathering will take place in Karachi on 13 May in Sohrab Goth. Thegathering was to take place in centrally located Jinnah Bagh but PTM wasforced to change the venue.
