ISLAMABAD – An Islamabad-bound PIA flight, which took off from Paris, madean emergency landing at Allama Iqbal International Airport here citing badweather conditions.

During the landing, a bird collided with the plane. The passengers of theflight started demanding an alternate plane for their remaining journey toIslamabad.

The officials of PIA refused the request of passengers, on which passengersprotested furiously, and MNA Shahab-ud-Din, who was among the enragedpassengers, announced angrily to leave his party right at the airport asprotest against poor management of the affairs of the state-owned airlines.

“It is shameful that I belong to the PML-N”, Shahb-ud-Din, a NationalAssembly member from NA-44 constituency from tribal areas, said.

After the emergency landing of the flight, the PIA administrationofficials, initially asked passengers to go to Islamabad via buses on theirown. However, after the protest of passengers, the airlines accepted thedemand of passengers and arranged for their commute to Islamabad.
