RAWALPINDI – Captain (R) Safdar is likely to be shifted to PIMS hospitalfrom Adiala Jail as reportedly he has developed some kind of food poisoningin the jail.
He has been reportedly vomiting inside the jail due some illness, sourceshave revealed.
Earlier Leaders of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and Sharif familymembers on Thursday met ex-prime minister Nawaz Sharif, his daughter MaryamNawaz and son-in-law Captain (r) Safdar in Adiala Jail.
At least 40 people including 25 PML-N leaders reached the jail for meetingwith former PM.
On July 13, Nawaz Sharif and his daughter Maryam Nawaz were *arrested andshifted to jail*linkafterthey landed at Lahore’s Allama Iqbal International Airport.
Nawaz was* sentenced to 11 years in prison *linkNational Accountability Bureau (NAB) court over his family’s purchase ofluxury apartments in London, whereas, his daughter Maryam was sentenced toseven years in prison.
The ex-premier’s son-in-law was also sent to jail for one-year on the samecharge.
The Avenfield reference is one of the three corruption references, filed bythe NAB on orders of the Supreme Court of Pakistan (SCP), whichdisqualified Nawaz Sharif, ousting him from premiership and finding himguilty in the Panama Paper case verdict.
