WASHINGTON: US President Donald Trump faced heavy criticism from the other six members, on the first day of the G-7 Summit in Canada, for imposing steep import tariffs on steel and aluminum imports.
According to the press release issued after first session, the US’s trading partners furiously opposed Trump’s decision and demanded its early cancellation.
However, the United States and European Union agreed to establish a dialogue on trade within the next two weeks.
