NEW DELHI – Frustrated India reacts over Pakistan refusal to give airspaceuse permission to Indian President for his visit to Europe.
Frustrated and irked over Pakistan decision, India strongly regrettedPakistan’s “futile” decision not to allow President Ram Nath Kovind’s planeuse the country’s airspace. The President will be in Europe from 9th to17th September and will visit Iceland, Switzerland and Slovenia.
Ministry of External Affairs in a statement said, “to deny overflightclearance for the VVIP special flight.
Adding, “We call upon Pakistan to recognise the futility of such unilateralactions.”
Pakistan rejected the Indian government’s request for President Ram NathKovind’s plane to use Pakistani airspace during his upcoming visit toEurope on back of ongoing India-Pakistan tensions.
“Indian government had asked Pakistan use its airspace for its president’smovement. Given the current situation we have decided not to give thepermission to India for this airspace usage”, Pak FM SM Qureshi said
