According to details, Indian have started a trend #BoycottThappad, callinga ban over Taapsee Pannu’s film ‘Thappad’ for participating in protestsagainst the controversial citizenship law that excludes Muslims.

#BoycottThappad has been trending on social media in India, calling a banover Taapsee’s film over her involvement in an anti-CAA protest.

Following Deepika Padukone, the actress had joined a peaceful protest inMumbai, supporting students of Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) inJanuary, who were attacked by a masked mob on their campus.

Those supporting boycott have compared her move to that of DeepikaPadukone, who also stood in solidarity with JNU students.
