ISLAMABAD: The United States State Department has approved a possible Foreign Military Sale of Apache helicopter sustainment services and related equipment to India valued at an estimated $198.2 million.
The approval, notified on May 18, covers long-term support for India’s existing fleet of AH-64E Apache attack helicopters. Principal contractors will be Boeing and Lockheed Martin.
Services include training, simulation, maintenance, spare parts supply, technical assistance, engineering support, and logistics. India currently operates 28 Apache helicopters, primarily with the Indian Air Force, acquired in previous deals.
