NEW DELHI: Kate Middleton takes on Sachin Tendulkar in India.
Royal couple Prince William and Kate Middleton met with Indian legend Sachin Tendulkar and played a friendly cricket match at the Oval Maidan cricket ground in Mumbai.
Sachin met with the Royal couple who are on a seven day visit of India and Bhutan.
Sachin said “What a fantastic experience it was to meet the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. They’re a remarkable couple. They made us feel so comfortable and were very humble and simple. It was nice to know that he (Prince William) follows cricket. We discussed T20 Finals and tennis.”
Earlier, British High Commission said “While in India they will experience the four passions which unite the country – cricket, Bollywood, politics and family.”
The couple also met with slum children in the city and visited Taj Mahal Palace Hotel which was targeted by militants in 2008, at least 31 people were killed in the incident.
The couple will also visit historical places and meet with political leaders, business tycoons and Bollywood stars during their stay in India.
