PESHAWAR, Aug 7 (APP): Advisor to the Prime Minister on Political
Affairs Ameer Muqam on Sunday said the people believed in progress and developmental works and not in politics of sit-ins and protests.
He said the people wanted real change in their living standard,
for which they wanted development works launched by a government and
not ‘hollow slogans’ which were being raised by the Pakistan
Tehreek-i-Isaf (PTI).
The PTI came into power in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with the slogan of
bringing change in 90 days, but practically it had done nothing despite
lapse of around three years, Muqam said while talking to newsmen here.
He alleged that PTI Chairman Imran Khan was doing negative politics
but the people of KP were aware of his anti-democratic politics.
He said the people had rejected the current Ehtisab Tehreek
(accountability campaign) launched by the PTI like they had rejected
its sit-in in Islamabad a couple of years earlier.
Speaking on the occasion, PML-N MNA Ibadullah said the people were
fed up from Imran’s politics. The people wanted progress and prosperity
and that was why they liked the federal government which was launching
development works.
