ISLAMABAD – Russian oil and gas consortium that specialises in the sector,is arriving in Pakistan today, with the intention of investingKhyber-Pakhtunkhwa’s (K-P) energy sector.

The Russian company has been actively pursuing investment opportunities inK-P, according to a statement released by the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Oil andGas Company Limited (KPOGCL).

As per the schedule, KPOGCL has arranged meetings with all the stakeholderswhich will help them in executing the projects on a fast-track basis.

“KPOGCL is playing an active role as facilitator, and will brief theinvestors on financial and technical aspects of the projects,” thestatement added.

Pakistan and Russia have been actively pursuing ventures in the energysector.

Given Russia’s expertise in the area and its export potential, Pakistan islooking to benefit as it aims to restructure its energy sector.
