ISLAMABAD – Foreign Office Spokesperson Dr. Muhammad Faisal has said thatIndia is not ready to share real identity of Research and Analysis Wing(RAW) spy Kulbhushan Jadhav.
Addressing weekly news briefing in Islamabad on Friday, he said thatPakistan had handed over documents, information and statements of the RAWagent to India in January last year but New Delhi has given any informationregarding Kulbhushan Jadhav.
The spokesperson said that Indian involvement in acts of sabotage inPakistan is no secret and the case of Kulbhushan bears witness to the fact.
Dr Faisal further said that all states have legitimate right to pursuepeaceful use of nuclear technology and Pakistan firmly commits to itspolicy of restraint in this connection and expects the same from others.
“Pakistan says strategic stability in the region is shared responsibilityand must be adhered to by all states for sustainable peace,” he added.
Responding to a question pertaining to Indian army chief’s statement, thespokesman said such statements are reflection of the Indian mindset whilePakistan still believes in peaceful neighborhood which must be reciprocated.
Our Armed Forces are showing restraint and are fully capable to respond anyaggression in a befitting manner, he said.
The spokesman went on to say that positive engagement with Afghanistancontinues and we believe that an end to conflict is possible throughpolitical process and dialogue.
He said the incident of Chinese national killed in Karachi is a tragicincident and being actively investigated, adding that Pakistan will ensurethe protection of Chinese citizens working here.
Answering a question about Joint Exercises by the Naval Forces of SaudiArabia and Pakistan, Dr Faisal said these were feature of regularcooperation to share expertise as Pakistan enjoys cordial ties with allMiddle East countries.
