Air Marshal Mujahid Anwar Khan appointed as PAF Chief

ISLAMABAD: The federal government announced Air Marshal Mujahid Anwar Khanas the new chief of air staff of the Pakistan Air Force (PAF).

The newly appointed Chief of Air staff will take charge on March 19 as AirChief Marshal Sohail Aman is going to retire from his post.

Air Marshal Khan was first commissioned in the GD (P) Branch in December1983. He is currently performing duty as Director General Air ForceStrategic Command at Air Headquarters and as Deputy Chief of the Air Staff(Support).

He was also awarded with Sword of Honour, Best Pilot Trophy and theChairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee Gold Medal for showing excellentperformance during his service.

Mujahid Anwar Khan also received Hilal-i-Imtiaz, the Sitara-i-Imtiaz andthe Tamgha-i-Imtiaz for his performance.

The Air Marshal Khan has flown various training and fighter aircraftincluding the F-16, F-6, FT-5, T-37, and MFI-17.
