DOHA – A reception was held on the Pakistan Maritime Security Ship Basol atHamad Port as part of the ongoing Doha International Maritime DefenceExhibition and Conference.

It was attended by a Pakistan delegation led by Federal Minister forDefence Production Rana Tanveer Hussain, Commander of the Qatar Emiri NavalForces Major General Abdullah bin Hassan al-Sulaiti, Ecuador’s Minister ofDefence Patricio Zambrano and officials from different ministries in Qatar.

Besides, a large number of Pakistani expatriates from different walks oflife in Qatar also attended the reception.

The national anthems of Qatar and Pakistan were played at the beginning ofthe reception. Afterwards, a cake-cutting ceremony was held and dinner washosted by Commodore Faisal Abbasi, Mission Commander of Naval Ships fromPakistan Navy, under the patronage of the Pakistan embassy in Doha.
