KARACHI – Supreme Court of Pakistan (SC) on Saturday granted Sumaira Malikpermission to contest general elections 2018 from Khushab’s NA-93constituency.
As per details garnered, Malik will contest elections on Pakistan MuslimLeague Nawaz’s (PML-N) ticket. Malik was disqualified over fake degree.
Malik had filed review petition in SC Karachi Registry.
Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Justice Saqib Nisar—during hearing—remarkedthat no woman can be tagged burglar without investigation. CJP furtheradded that Malik’s picture on educational document has been proven originalby forensic report. He made it overtly clear that picture can’t be declaredfake without a formal probe into the matter.
