ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan on Tuesday gives a blow toImran Khan over violations of the code of conduct.
ECP has halted the victory notification of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’sChairman Imran Khan from all constituencies over a pending case ofviolation of code of conduct.
Imran won all five seats he contested from— NA-35 Bannu, NA-53 Islamabad,NA-95 Mianwali, NA-131 Lahore and NA-243 Karachi—however, the ECP haswithheld the notification declaring his victory. The election body has alsohalted PTI senior leader Pervez Khattak’s victory notification from NA-25Nowshera where had secured a victory against Hastam Khan Khattak.

On July 29, the ECP announced unofficial results of all 841 national andprovincial assemblies’ constituencies. The ECP has received results of 270National Assembly seats and 571 provincial assemblies’ seats. PunjabAssembly has 295 seats, Sindh 129, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) 97 andBalochistan 50.
Sharing details of parties’ positions, an ECP official said in all resultsof National Assembly seats, PTI was leading with 115 seats while PakistanMuslim League (PML-N) and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) secured 64 seats and43 seats, respectively.
