Chinese Ambassador hints at economic assistance package for Pakistan during PM Khan visit to China

ISLAMABAD: Chinese Ambassador Yao Jing has hinted at economic assistancepackage for Pakistan.

He said that China would extend all possible assistance and support toPakistan’s government.

He said, “We understand that Pakistan is facing many challenges in thefinancial sector and China, as a true friend, is ready to extend allpossible assistance and support to Pakistan.”

He said that China is looking forward to PM Khan’s visit and his keynoteaddress to the participants of the China International Import Expo (CIIE)which is scheduled to take place in Shanghai from November 5 to November 10.

PM Khan is among the top dignitaries who have been invited to attend theopening session of CIIE which itself reflects Pakistan’s sincere desire tostep up its trade ties with Pakistan.

Pakistan has also been regarded as a guest of honour at the CIIE where2,800 companies from all G-20 member states, as well as 50 countries andregions along the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), will participate. Of theworld’s 44 least developed countries, over 30 will be present at the expo.
