Irked at PM Imran Khan remarks, Embarrassed India responds back

NEW DELHI – Irked at Pakistan Prime Minister remarks, India gave anembarrassing respond against PM Imran Khan.

Imran Khan on Wednesday said that Pakistan and India must break shacklesof the pastlinkgive peace a chance. Shortly after his speech, India reacted by saying thathis country ought to first stop cross-border terrorism before its PM callsfor bonhomie.

Imran was in Kartarpur in PakistanlinkKartarpur Corridor inauguration. The event was also attended by Punjabminister Navjot Singh Sidhu and union ministers Harsimrat Kaur and HS Purifrom the Indian side.

On the occasion, the Pakistan Prime Minister admitted that both neighbourshad made mistakes in the past but the time now was to learn from them andmove forward.

“Deeply regrettable that Pakistan PM chose to politicise the pious occasionmeant to realise the long pending demand of Sikh community to developKartarpur Corridor by making unwarranted reference to J&K which is integraland inalienable part of India,” read a statement from the Indian Ministryof External Affairs (MEA).

“Pakistan is reminded that it must fulfil its international obligationsand take effective and credible action to stop providing shelter and allkind of support to cross-border terrorism from territories under itscontrol.
