ISLAMABAD – Information Minister Fawad Chaudhary has said the governmenttargets to achieve six to seven percent growth rate in order to fulfill thepromise of providing ten million jobs to the youth.
Talking to the News and Current Affairs Channel of Radio Pakistan onFriday, he said the survey of International Republican Institute has onceagain confirmed that Prime Minister Imran Khan is the most popular leaderof the country and the PML (N) and the PPP are not even close to the PTI’spopularity.
Fawad Chaudhary said eighty three percent respondents have also reposedtheir confidence on the transparency and impartiality of the generalelection. This shows the confidence of the people on the electoral system.
He said the people also stand by democracy as fifty nine percent ofrespondents have thrown their weight behind the system.
Responding to a question about the mass shooting incident at Christchurch,the Information Minister said this attack on Muslims is a manifestationthat Islamophobia is penetrating into the Western society.
He said extremism is the most serious global issue and a closeinternational cooperation is required to deal with it.
