NEW DELHI – Despite having state of the art fighter jets like Su 30 MKI andMig 29 from Russia and Mirage 2000 from France, India cries before US afterthrashed by PAF over the alleged use of the F – 16 fighter jets.
India has given so called proof to the US about the use of F-16 fightersand AMRAAM beyond visual range air-to-air missile by Pakistan during itsencounter with the IAf on February 27, official sources said Tuesday.
They said India was confident that Washington was carrying out investigation into use of the US-manufactured fighter as well as themissile onboard it in the operation against India.
As part of the purchasing agreement, the US had put restrictions, the UShad reportedly barred Pakistan from using the F-16s against any thirdcountry and it was only allowed to operate the fighter in self defence andfor anti-terror missions.
The US is “very closely” following the reports which have claimed thatPakistan used American-made F-16 fighter jets against India in the recentaerial confrontation between the air forces of the two countries, a topState Department official has said.
The US State Department has said that America is seeking more informationfrom Pakistan on the potential misuse of American-made F-16 fighter jets byit against India in violation of the end-user agreement.
