PM Narendra Modi chairs National Security Council meeting

NEW DELHI – Amid heightened tensions between India and Pakistan, PrimeMinister Narendra Modi today chaired a meeting of the National SecurityCouncil. Official sources said the meeting was attended by Home MinisterRajnath Singh, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, External Affairs MinisterSushma Swaraj and Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman.

Besides the union ministers, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval andForeign Secretary Vijay Gokhle also attended the meeting.
