NEW DELHI – Using Honey Trap, the Biggest ever sex scandal in the historyof India has been unleashed.
Police in India’s central Madhya Pradesh have launched an investigationinto a ‘honeytrap’ ring that hooked a large number of people in thebureaucracy and politics. The investigation is still ongoing and an officerinvolved in the exercise said, it could be the biggest ever ‘quid pro quosex scandal’ in the country.
The official, quoted by the web portal of the English daily *The Times ofIndia*link,said nearly 4,000 files have been discovered so far, contain screenshots ofsex chats, videos of naked officers in compromising positions and audioclips from the gang that allegedly hooked a large number of bureaucrats andpolitical leaders from both the ruling Congress Party and the oppositionBharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Madhya Pradesh.
The official estimated, the list of digital files could total as many as5,000 as forensic experts are trying to retrieve erased photos and videosfrom the memory cards of mobiles and laptops.
The Time of India has reported that women as young as 18, often visited anelite club in Bhopal where rooms were booked by senior bureaucrats. “Thereare inputs that the check-in registers of the clubs are missing and effortsare on to manipulate other records that have images of these girls. Thisincludes CCTV cameras,” said an officer.

“The basic line of investigation should be the quid pro quo deals. Theofficers concerned should be charged under the Prevention of CorruptionAct,” said the officer. He said, seeking or accepting sexual favourslinkistreated as bribe under the new anti-corruption law, which attracts aseven-year jail term.
