ISLAMABAD – Chinese officials have confessed corruption and money transferworth billions in the Multan Metro Bus Project.
Chinese authorities have reportedly contacted their Pakistani counterpartsover alleged corruption in Multan metro bus. Beijing had apprehended twoofficials of the Chinese company overseeing the project. The two officialshave confessed to receving kickbacks, Dunya News has reported.
A three-member Pakistani team headed by Shehzad Akbar will leave forBeijing. The other two members include National Accountablity BureauDirector General Irfan Mangi and NAB Multan Deputy Director Shahid.
According to sources, the team will record the statement of the two Chineseofficials who confessed to transferring billions to China while working onthe metro bus project.
