ISLAMABAD – Electricity prices have been increased yet again in Pakistan.
The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (Nepra) Wednesday notifieda 20-paisa increase in electricity tariff.
According to the notification, the prices have been increased underSeptember’s fuel adjustment charges. Consumers of electricity will have tobear an additional burden of about Rs2.50 billion.
The corresponding fuel charges component in September were Rs5.12 per unit.“Discos shall reflect the fuel charges adjustment in respect of September2018 in the billing month of November 2018,” it said.
