ISLAMABAD – Boom Boom Afridi has once again proved that age is nothing buta number as the 39-year-old all-rounder displayed a match winningperformance against Edmonton Royals at the Global T20 Canada on Sunday.
The Brampton Wolves won their second game in the tournament after Afridi’sscintillating knock. With the help of 10 fours and five sixes, he scored 81runs off 40 balls and remained unbeaten. Known for his huge sixes, theformer Pakistani captain, came to bat in the eleventh over and jolted theopponent’s bowling line-up.
The veteran all-rounder also did a feasible job with the ball as heconceded only 14 runs in four overs and picked up a wicket of fellowPakistani batsman Mohammad Hafeez.
