ISLAMABAD – The Pakistan hockey team players have come out on open revoltagainst the attitude met to them by the authorities.
Hockey players in a protest against the non-payment of their due salaries,have decided not to participate in the forthcoming Asian games.
“The players have not yet received the daily allowance for the trainingcamp held for Champions Trophy,” said national side’s skipper RizwanSenior. “We won’t participate in the Asian Games if we aren’t given our duedaily allowance.”
The national side’s training camp was scheduled in Holland for theChampions Trophy. “It’s not a revolt we are asking for our due right,”Rizwan added.
Senior player Imran Butt said that the team has conveyed their decision tothe team management.
