KABUL – Afghan government on Wednesday has rejected the claims made byPakistan Foreign Office that it had handed over 28 terrorists of Talibanand Haqqani network to Afghanistan.
“Pakistan has not handed over any members of these groups,” Afghan TV*TOLOnews* said quoting a source.
On Tuesday, Foreign Office Mohammad Faisal had said that Pakistan handedover 27 individuals suspected of having ties to Taliban and Haqqani networkto Afghan officials last year.
Faisal said Pakistan continues to push any suspected Afghan Taliban andHaqqani elements with a view to “prevent them from using our soil for anyterrorist activity in Afghanistan”.
The suspected insurgents were handed over to Afghanistan in November 2017,he had said.
