ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Imran Khan will pay a two-day official visit toTurkey on Thursday at the invitation of Turkish President Recep TayyipErdogan.
This will be Prime Minister’s first official visit to Turkey. He will beaccompanied by a high-level delegation including Foreign Minister MakhdoomShah Mehmood Qureshi, Planning Minister Makhdoom Khusro Bakhtyar; andAdviser to the Prime Minister Abdul Razak Dawood. During the visit, thePrime Minister will meet the Turkish President and discuss the entirespectrum of bilateral relations between the two countries.
Views pertaining to regional and international situation will also beexchanged. Imran Khan will also address a business forum, and hold severalmeetings with Turkish businessmen and potential investors during his stayat Ankara. Our Correspondent Muhammad Akram Khan adds that Pakistan andTurkey enjoy historic and unparalleled ties based on a common religious andcultural legacy that dates back to centuries.
The two countries have excellent political, economic, defense, cultural andpeople-to-people relations that continue to grow from strength to strengtheach passing year. Prime Minister’s upcoming visit to Turkey will furtherreinforce the historic ties between the governments and the people of thetwo brotherly countries.
The visit will also help to explore new vistas of cooperation between thetwo countries, particularly in the area of economic, trade and commercialrelations.
