ISLAMABAD – Federal Minister for Petroleum Ghulam Sarwar Khan saysgovernment wants to minimize the burden of increased gas prices on masses.
Addressing a news conference in Islamabad Friday afternoon, the Ministersaid the increase was minimal for the poorer segments of society. Theincrease of 40 percent in gas bills for Tandoors was revoked so that priceof bread does not become too expensive for masses.
The Minister said SSGL and SNGPL were facing a collective loss of 152billion rupees as the gas prices were not increased in last many years. Hesaid the prices of LPG cylinders have been further brought down to giverelief to the people.
