ISLAMABAD – SSP Maria Mahmood has been appointed as the new District PoliceOfficer of Pakpattan.
She has replaced SSP Rizwan Umar Gondal, who was reportedly transferredafter an altercation with the first lady’s former husband, a private newschannel reported on Thursday.
As per the notification, Maria Mahmood was earlier serving as SSPRawalpindi Investigation. She has been directed to take charge withimmediate effect.
On August 23, police personnel tried to intercept Khawar Maneka at acheckpoint when he was coming from Pakpattan.
However, when he did not stop they chased him down.
It was said that Khawar misbehaved with the personnel and hurled expletivesat them when they stopped him.
