ISLAMABAD – Organization of Islamic Cooperation has reiterated support forthe people of Jammu and Kashmir in achieving their legitimate rights,including the right to self-determination.
The resolve was expressed by OIC Special Envoy on Jammu & KashmirAmbassador Abdullah Al Alim, while chairing an emergency meeting of OICContact Group on Jammu and Kashmir held in Jeddah on Monday.
He emphasized that the conflict should be resolved in accordance with theaspiration of the Kashmiri people and UN Security Council resolutions.
The meeting was called in the context of recent killings of 20 innocentKashmiri civilians at the hands of Indian occupation forces.

Foreign Secretary Tehmina Janjua led Pakistan’s delegation to anddelegations from Azerbaijan, Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Niger alsoparticipated in the meeting.
