ISLAMABAD - Pakistan and Russia have agreed to ‘improve cooperation in the field of defense production’ on Thursday, the spokesman of Foreign Office Dr. Muhammad Faisal reported.
The understanding came at a meeting of Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi and Russian Ambassador Alexy Dedov at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the federal capital today.
The two sides mutually decided to enhance collaboration in defense production, while the discussion pertaining to ratchet up bilateral trade and investment took place.
The cooperation in the sphere of energy was also the part of meeting as per the FO spokesman.
Dr. Muhammad Faisal tweeted, “FM Shah Mahmood Qureshi met Russian Ambassador Alexy Dedov at MoFA Islamabad today. Discussions for improvement in bilateral trade, energy and investment held. The two sides agreed to improve cooperation in field of defense production.”
