ISLAMABAD – Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah has been penalised by theSupreme Court of Pakistan.
The Supreme Court (SC) on Thursday penalised Sindh Chief Minister MuradAli Shah a amount of Rs1.4 million for a government advertisement that haddisplayed his photograph.
These directives were issued as the top court head a suo moto casepertaining to government sponsored media advertisements.
As a three-member bench headed by the top judge and comprising JusticeIjazul Ahsan and Justice Faisal Arbab heard the case, the court gave theprovincial chief minister a deadline of 10 days to pay the amount, eitherwith his own pocket or using his party, Pakistan People’s Party’s (PPP)funds.
