Diamer Bhasha Dam hit with yet another controversy

KARACHI – Diamer Bhasha Dam has hit by yet another controversy as PPPlawmaker has raised voice against the Dam in the Sindh Assembly.

Sindh Education Minister Syed Sardar Shah says no dam, including BhashaDam, will be built on the River Indus.

Shah made this statement while speaking on the floor of the Sindh Assemblytoday. He said Bhasha dam won’t be constructed on Indus River, terming theplan for dam construction as unfeasible.

He also claimed that he would get his daughter enrolled in a governmentschool, adding that education should be kept aside from politics.

He is the second Pakistan People’s Party MPA making remarks against the damconstruction in last few days.

On Sep 15, PPP minister Syed Nasir Hussain Shah said anyone speaking aboutKalabagh Dam should be dealt under Article-6 of the Constitution.
