ISLAMABAD – Federal Minister for Power Omar Ayub Khan has invited Malaysianbusinessmen to take advantage of favorable business climate in Pakistan andinvest in energy sector.
He was talking to High Commissioner of Malaysia Ikram Mohammad Ibrahim, whoalong with a delegation of Malaysian businessmen, called on him inIslamabad today.
The Minister informed the delegation that Pakistan’s energy sector isoffering very good return on investment in various fields.
He said government is also taking concrete steps towards easing theprocedure for business communities.
Omar Ayub Khan apprised the delegation that energy sector is introducingstate of the art technologies, besides streamlining the fiscal disciplinethat has further boosted the confidence of investors.
He specially mentioned the AMI project that is being executed in PowerDistribution Companies.
The High Commissioner informed the Minister that Malaysian PetroleumCompany PETRONAS is keen in investing in Pakistan in the oil and gassector, especially the LNG business.
