ISLAMABAD: PML-N Central Executive Committee meets in Islamabad on Sunday with its President Shahbaz Sharif in the chair to discuss formation of government in Punjab and political scenario in the country.
According to reports, Shahbaz met with PPP leader Makhdoom Ahmed Mehmood in Lahore to discuss a coalition government in the province.
In the meeting Shahbaz vowed to meet PPP leadership with both sides agreeing to work together for democracy in the future.
Meanwhile, PML-N President and PPP leader Khursheed Shah will meet in Islamabad today to discuss the prospects of forming a joint opposition in the National Assembly.
The two main opposition parties decided to form a committee with PML-N representing by Ayaz Sadiq, Mushahid Hussain Syed and Khawaja Saad Rafique while the PPP has fielded Khurshid Shah, Sherry Rehman and Naveed Qamar to engage with political parties in the wake of General Elections-2018 to discuss the way forward.
