ISLAMABAD – Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) leader Khawaja Saad Rafique onSunday alleged that his constituency NA-131 was divided into parts forImran Khan’s victory in the elections.
Addressing to the press conference, the former minister said that theElection Commission of Pakistan( ECP) did not follow the basicprinciples.He alleged that the ECP played biased role in the GeneralElection 2018.
Khawaja Saad said that nearly all political outfits had grave concernspertaining to rigging in general elections. He said that he had requestedthe chief election commissioner (CEC) to increase number of pollingstations while adding that many stalwarts returned without casting voteowing to extreme weather conditions.
The PML-N leader said that if PTI Chairperson Imran Khan hadn’t won byrigging the election, then why is he afraid of a recount. He said theelection commission should order a recount of all ballot papers in theconstituency.
“I asked for all the votes to be recounted but the returning officer onlyagreed to recount the ballot papers that had been rejected,” said the PML-Nleader.
