In Syria, at least twenty-two civilians were killed in a barrage of Russian airstrikes on the rebel held areas in Daraa governorate today.
Britain-based Observatory for Human Rights said one of the airstrike hit an underground shelter in al-Musayfrah town, killing at least seventeen people, including children.
According to reports, rescuers are still pulling bodies from the underground shelter.
Another five civilians were killed in other rebel-controlled areas of Daraa.
The Observatory said government forces are making a push to gain territory and heading toward southern Daraa and a strategic border crossing with Jordan.
Earlier, the Observatory reported that forty-six people, including children, have been killed in air strikes in the rebel-held parts of Daraa province since yesterday.
