ISLAMABAD – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) stalwart Jehangir Khan Tareenhas left for London today.
Tareen is reportedly unhappy with the distribution of tickets amongcandidates in South Punjab for the general elections.
According to reports, the party leadership did not award tickets tocandidates recommended by the party’s former secretary general.
Tareen’s leaving for London ahead of elections raised many questionsregarding his participation in PTI’s election campaign.
Tareen quoted health issues as reason for his sudden departure and linkedhis come back with the permission of his doctors in London.
However, it is unclear if Tareen would take part in party’s campaign forgeneral elections or not.
The differences between PTI’s former secretary general Jehangir Tareen andthe party’s Vice-Chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi were out in the open whenthe two exchanged barbs over the allotment of party tickets.
