Panama Case JIT summons Hussain Nawaz with penal warning for non appearance

ISLAMABAD: The Joint Investigation Team has sent another summon to Hussain Nawaz to appear before the JIT for further probe into the investigations.

The Joint Investigation Team that on Monday sent a summon to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s son Hussain Nawaz to appear before the JIT on Tuesday and in case of his failure to comply, warned him that ‘penal consequences’ may entail.

According to details, a summon was issued by the Joint Investigation Team formed to probe the Prime Minister in connection with the Panama Leaks case. The JIT has summoned Hussain Nawaz again on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 with all relevant records and materials.

Hussain Nawaz had appeared before the JIT earlier on Monday but the notification stated that he had presented himself without any relevant record or material.

“Today you appeared before the JIT without any record and also refused to answer any of the questions put forth by the JIT on the pretext that the matter is subjudice as you have filed a petition before the apex court and requested for another date,” read the summon.

The summon called for the premier’s son to present himself again on May 30 before the JIT with all relevant record, material and documents for the examination of the JIT or necessary to give a statement.

“You are advised that failure to comply with this summon may entail penal consequences as per relevant laws,” read the summon.
