Pakistan advised PM Modi to remember PAF shooting down two IAF jets post Balakot episode before thinking a new misadventure

ISLAMABAD – Pakistan has completely rejected Prime Minister Narendra Modi’sirresponsible and war-mongering remarks.

Foreign Office spokesperson in a statement said these remarks are anotherreflection of India’s incurable obsession with Pakistan and the BJPGovernment and leadership’s desperate attempts to divert attention fromgrowing domestic and international criticism of their discriminatory,anti-Kashmir and anti-minority policies.

The spokesperson said the Indian Prime Minister’s threats and provocativestatements further illustrate the extremist mindset that pervades the BJPleadership and has evidently permeated the state institutions in India.

The spokesperson added that Pakistan’s immediate and effective response toIndia’s Balakot misadventure, including the downing of Indian fighteraircraft and capture of Indian pilot last year, should suffice tounderscore the will, capacity and preparedness of our armed forces. No oneshould underestimate the resolve of the people and the armed forces ofPakistan to effectively thwart any aggressive action.

The spokesperson urged the international community to take cognizance ofthe Indian leadership’s continuing belligerent rhetoric and aggressivemeasures, which pose a threat to regional peace and security.

It further said that Pakistan hopes steps would be taken to facilitatepeaceful resolution of the Jammu & Kashmir dispute for durable peace andstability in South Asia.
