PESHAWAR – Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister Shahram Khan Taraqai Tuesday said 20buses would start plying on Bus Rapid Transit project in second week ofFebruary in the first phase.
Talking to media here he said the project would be completed by March 23,however in the first phase of project would be opened from GT road to QillaBalahisar underpass, adding that by the end of February 27 stations of BRTwould be completed.
The Minister said that total cost the project was Rs 66 billion wherewater, electricity lines and sewerage system along the road of the projectwere also upgraded.
He informed that currently 800 to 1200 were performing BRT duty while 12000traffic officials were managing smooth traffic flow in the city. He said asper official estimate there are load of 0.7 million vehicles within thecity.
