DUBAI – Former president General (r) Pervez Musharraf has on Thursday
reacted strongly to the statement of Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) chairman
Bilawal Bhutto Zardari accusing him of killing his mother.
Reacting to the statement of PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, he said
that the PPP wanted to pressurize the army by making alliance with former
prime minister Nawaz Sharif, so that he can be pressurized.
The former president said that Bilawal’s father Asif Ali Zardari benefitted
most with the martyrdom of former prime minister Benazir Bhutto, who took
over the party by writing a fake will.
Musharraf went on to say that the PPP co-chairman also transferred all the
property on his name.
Earlier, Bilawal Bhutto had accused former president Pervez Musharraf of
killing his mother Benazir Bhutto for fighting against the dictatorship.
“Pervez Musharraf directly threatened my mother that the guarantee of her
security upon her return to Pakistan depended on Bhutto’s cooperation with
the government,” Bilawal said.
“I personally hold Pervez Musharraf responsible for the assassination of my
mother,” he added.
