ISLAMABAD – Pakistan International Airlines’ (PIA) crew members have madeheadlines for all the wrong reasons in the past.
However, Steward Mumtaz Abro, and Airhostess, Mehwish Shaukat, have set anew standard of honesty by returning a huge amount of foreign currency to apassenger flying from Manchester to Islamabad.
According to reports, on November 24th, PIA’s flight PK-702 took off fromManchester for Islamabad and a passenger onboard lost 4000 British pounds.
Two of the crew members found the lost money and returned it to thepassenger as it is. PIA officials have praised the act of honesty from boththe crew members.
The federal government has undertaken numerous measures to transform PIAinto a profitable organization. As a result, PIA’s losses have decreasedsignificantly.
From January to June 2019, the revenue of the national flag carrierincreased by 44% as it earned Rs. 94.73 billion. During the first sixmonths of 2018, PIA’s revenue stood at just Rs.65.72 billion.
