ISLAMABAD: Federal cabinet approved new summary of COAS General Bajwaextension through special messengers.
Federal cabinet has approved the summary of Army Chief General Qamar JavedBajwa s tenure extension on late Wednesday night.
According to local news channel report, a new summary regarding theextension of Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa wasformulated by the Federal Government after the Supreme Court heard a caseinto the matter.
Sources said that the summary was sent to cabinet members through specialmessenger for their opinion on the matter.
The summary was formulated in an emergency session under Prime MinisterImran Khan, where the Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa was himselfpresent along with the senior cabinet members, legal team and former lawminister Farogh Naseem.

Sources said that consultation was held over today’s hearing in the SupremeCourt on the issue of army chief s extension and the questions raised bythe apex court were discussed in the meeting. In the new summary, the wordappointment was replsced by word extension , keeping in view theobjection by the apex court.
Earlier, Farogh Naseem, who has recently resigned as Federal Minister forLaw, and Attorney General Anwar Mansoor on Wednesday met Prime Minister(PM) Imran Khan in Islamabad.
