The United Nations Human Rights Council is expected to hold a special session to discuss killings, rapes and other crimes committed against Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar on 5th of next month.
More than six hundred thousand Rohingya Muslims fled to Bangladesh since August due to violence in Myanmar’s Rakhine state.
The UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Zeid Ra’ad Al-Hussein had described the Myanmar army’s crackdown in Rakhine state as a textbook example of ethnic cleansing.
