Over 112 illegal Pakistani immigrants arrested in Iran by security forces

TEHRAN (FNA)- Tens of Pakistani citizens who had illegally crossed theborder into Iran were deported to the neighboring country, local mediareported.

“Iran has handed over 112 illegal immigrants to the border securityofficials of Pakistan,” the Iranian media quoted border officials as saying.

They said that all deportees have been handed over to the FederalInvestigation Agency (FIA) for further investigation.

The Pakistani citizens, who trespass into Iran, usually want to proceed toEurope without proper travel documents for economic reasons.

Pakistanis living in Iran illegally or trying to enter Iran illegally arecaught every year by the Iranian security forces. Iranian authorities havebeen often deporting illegal Pakistani immigrants.

Iran and Pakistan are already engaged in strengthening cooperation to stopthe illegal movements of immigrants.
