Pakistan Foreign Office strongly lodges protest against India

ISLAMABAD – Pakistan Foreign Office strongly lodges protest against Indiaover LoC ceasefire violation.

Pakistan today strongly protested against India over breach of ceasefireagreement along Line of Control (LoC) after neighbor-country startedunprovoked firing targeting civilians on Wednesday.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement today which stated thatthe Director General (SA & SAARC), Dr. Mohammad Faisal, summoned the IndianDeputy High Commissioner Gaurav Ahluwalia today and condemned theunprovoked ceasefire violations by the Indian occupation forces along theLine of Control (LoC).

In the most recent ceasefire violations by the Indian forces on 27 August2019 in Nekrun Sector of LoC, two innocent civilians Abdul Jalil and 3years old girl Nausheen were martyred and three others have sustainedserious injuries. Moreover, in Chirikot Sector of LoC, a 4 years old boyhas sustained serious injuries.

The Indian occupation forces along the LoC and working boundary havecontinuously been targeting civilian populated areas with artillery fire,heavy-caliber mortars, and automatic weapons, which still continues. Thisunprecedented escalation in ceasefire violations by India is continuingfrom the year 2017 when the Indian forces committed 1970 ceasefireviolations.
