ISLAMABAD – Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi hled telephonicconversation with his Kuwaiti counterpart
Sabah Al Khalid Al Sabah on Wednesday.
Shah Mahmood Qureshi apprised him of the latest developments in the IndianOccupied Jammu & Kashmir and
highlighted the gross human rights violations being committed by the Indianforces since India’s illegal and unilateral actions of 5 August 2019.
He said that the dire human rights and humanitarian situation, resultingfrom the total lockdown of IOJ&K, required urgent and effective responsefrom the international community.
He added that International Human Rights’ bodies and the global media havehighlighted the Indian atrocities, including suppression of religiousfreedom on the occasion of Eid al Azha.
The Foreign Minister further underlined that India might try to divert theworld’s attention from these grave human rights violations by staging afalse flag operation and placing the blame on Pakistan.
The Foreign Minister expressed appreciation for Kuwait’s constructiveengagement as a member of the UN Security Council.
Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Sabah Al Khalid Al Sabah thanked the ForeignMinister for his detailed briefing.
He noted with concern the deteriorating situation in IOJ&K and underlinedthe need for preventive steps and peaceful resolution of disputes.
