ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Imran Khan on Tuesday met Chief of the NavalStaff Admiral Zafar Mahmood Abbasi.
During the meeting, the country’s security situation and matters pertainingto the Pakistan Navy were discussed.
PM Imran said the navy’s efforts to protect the maritime boundaries ofPakistan are commendable.
The chief of naval staff congratulated PM Imran for assuming office of theprime minister.
A day earlier, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa calledon PM Imran.
The two dignitaries expressed resolve to continue efforts for enduringpeace and stability in the country.
They also exchanged views on the overall security situation in the region.
Army Chief General Bajwa also felicitated Imran Khan on assuming office ofthe prime minister.
